Bahrain-based Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), a leading international aluminium smelter, said it maintained its safety momentum during Ramadan through daily after-Iftar safety visits by officials to shop-floor employees around the plant and also during the Eid Al Fitr holidays from June 25 to 27.

Alba CEO Tim Murray pointed out that the ongoing safety campaigns underlined its long-standing commitment to 2017’s goal of ‘Safety Tomorrowland.’

Throughout the holy month, members of the executive management along with directors and managers visited different operational areas with the aim to boost safety awareness amongst Alba employees and contractors, to keep healthy and hydrated as well as boost their morale especially in the hot summer months, he stated.

“Safety is not a one-time occurrence; it has to be practiced every waking hour of our life. We believe that for a safe tomorrow, we must begin the journey now and work together as one team to achieve it,” remarked Murray.

He was accompanied by chief financial officer Ali Al Baqali; chief marketing officer Khalid A Latif; chief power officer Amin Sultan; acting chief operations officer Hassan Noor; as well as other directors and managers who met with the shop-floor employees and contractors,

“We want to appreciate our employees who are away from their families during the celebration of Eid. It was our pleasure to spend this day with our people and let them know that Alba family is always there for them,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
